Edward Hopper (Portrait)

Edward Hopper (1882-1967) was born in Nyack, New York and spent most of his life in New York City. Hopper’s unique painting style showed everyday scenes with photographic precision to make the ordinary, extraordinary and different. He also used light, not only to focus on a specific subject, but to lay it bare and isolate it. Nighthawks is one of his most famous paintings.
