Introduction – Chapter 5

“I will not go down to posterity talking bad grammar.”

Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881), while correcting proofs of his last parliamentary speech

Language and grammar play a larger part in the English curriculum in K06 than before. Students are expected to make use of correct grammar but they are also expected to explain grammatical structures by using the correct terms. To meet these demands Stunt has a thorough chapter dealing with grammar and writing texts. We have made a separate chapter dealing with these topics to give teachers freedom to work on the different topics when they find it most suitable and to give students a reference book which is easy to use.
